Her Commitment to Community
One Act of Outreach Grew into Something Bigger—
Shaping a Culture that Keeps on Giving.
Where It Started
In the early days at F&C CPAs, community outreach wasn’t on the radar. The company was growing, focused on serving clients, doing good work, and building strong internal teams.
That was the culture: dedicated, dependable, but focused on building the business.

In 1995, a young woman took a job as a receptionist at F&C. She welcomed clients, answered phones, and quickly became a steady presence in the office.
Thirty years later, Michelle Price’s steady presence remains, but she is no longer a receptionist. Now she has a more impactful presence, bringing a sense of community to the firm.
Michelle’s passion for giving back sparked a new chapter for F&C.
Deeply affected by cancer and already active on the Relay for Life boards in Shawnee and Tecumseh, she saw a chance to involve the firm.
When a fundraising team formed for Relay for Life, Michelle stepped up to lead it, helping F&C take its first real step into community involvement.
It was just home. It always has been. I love what I do. I love the people that I work with. I love the people I work for. So to me it’s not a job, it’s part of who I am.

Becoming Who We Are
What started with Michelle bringing in causes close to her heart has become a lasting part of F&C. Community involvement now defines us, not just through partnerships with charities and fundraisers but in how our team supports one another.
Michelle’s influence also fosters connections within the firm. From monthly wellness challenges to thoughtful internal traditions, her dedication has quietly shaped the everyday culture at F&C.
During the pandemic, when most worked remotely, Michelle came in every day and helped keep the office grounded through an unsteady time.
Her presence builds a sense of belonging that’s felt by all, even when it goes unseen. That spirit shows up in moments both big and small throughout the firm.

I want people to know that we care. I want people to feel that. I want people to feel that we are involved. I want them to feel like we care.

Showing Up Today
Today we contribute to many different community outreach organizations and we expect this number to grow.
While it started as a personal passion, helping others has become part of our firm’s foundation. Our involvement reflects who we are when no one’s watching, and it reminds us that being a part of a community means giving something back to it.
This is how we move forward. Rooted in connection, driven by purpose, and always looking for new ways to help others.
